How does work get into LEIAA?
Reports are ingested through multiple channels, from third-party platform integrations to LEIAA’s secure built-in reporting tool. AI extracts core information and builds investigation plans directly.
Do we have to move off the systems we already use?
No. LEIAA interacts with existing enterprise platforms, reducing duplication while becoming a single source of truth. It works with partners including NetDocuments, iManage, Relativity, Microsoft and Google.
What happens to a case before an investigator opens it?
Core information is extracted automatically. Technology-driven triage, scoping and investigation planning surface parties, allegations and metadata from the start.
Do interviews have to be conducted inside LEIAA?
No. Interviews can be run off-platform or through the Interview Panel, while still receiving automatic transcription, summary or recording.
How do we know an AI answer isn’t invented?
Every response links to one or more source passages. If it cannot be cited, it is not said. Answers remain grounded in your policies and the regulatory frameworks governing your work.
Who signs off AI-generated work?
Human-in-the-loop approvals provide auditability. Smart Actions assist rather than replace the investigator, and conclusions follow a human approval workflow.
Is there an audit trail?
Yes. Comprehensive audit trails are maintained throughout, with the source of every item stored in or accessed from LEIAA identifiable.
What are Lines of Enquiry?
They are your key investigative focus points, generated automatically. Deep natural-language search across millions of datapoints delivers objective evidence and uncovers potential misconduct in minutes, not months.
How is this different from the eDiscovery tools we own?
Unlike traditional discovery tools, LEIAA continuously examines and contextualises the end-to-end dataset in real time. It provides full-context synthesis rather than routing work between siloed systems.
Can it detect tampered documents?
Yes. The built-in language-agnostic fraud detection tool is trained on more than five million documents and analyses hundreds of parameters to verify documents in seconds.
Can we ask questions across more than one case?
Yes. Global Chat can work across one document, one case or your entire portfolio, surfacing connections across investigation records.
What certifications do you hold?
LEIAA is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certified, with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification through Insight Assurance. It also supports GDPR and HIPAA requirements.
Where is our data held, and who can see it?
Each customer has a dedicated environment in their chosen Google Cloud region. Granular permissions limit access to people with a legitimate business need, and data is not accessible or shared with third parties.
Is our data used to train your models?
No. Customer data is not used to train platform AI models.
Can we host it ourselves?
Yes. LEIAA can run as a managed service on Augmetec’s cloud across multiple regions, or as a locally hosted deployment in your own cloud environment.
Will it actually reduce our workload?

How do we get consistency across similar cases?

Who built it?
LEIAA is designed by investigators, for investigators. The founding team includes the lead investigator on a $2.5bn financial fraud and a co-founder with a PhD in machine learning.
